Sunday June 28

Hey guys and gals. It is Tuesday and has been a busy 3 weeks for me. I know that we are all on different lessons. Here's the deal, if you have already done mormonism, you may want to review this week so others can catch up. Hopefully, by then we can all be on Jehovah Witnesses the next Sunday. I think David already taught that one but will be teaching Mormonism this Sunday. Let us know what each of you are on and what you will be teaching this Sunday. Hopefully, we can all get back on track after this week. By the way, if you have a post that you would like to share on the subject you are teaching, have at it. We would love to hear from each of you. Billy

Sounds good to me, I would like to revisit Scientology and LDS. There is more (crazy)info on these 2 than our lesson covers. It was funny to see the reaction on the kids face when I explained LDS and what their belief is. One thing to keep in mind, that I told my kids, if you ask a member of the local LDS church, about these crazy beliefs, they will laugh. They laugh because of the same reason people in our congregation would look at you strange if you quote scripture stating God is angry at sinners. The bottom line is they don't have a clue what they believe. That's how people in our church can read "The Shack" and think it is a great book that brings them closer to God.

Check this out about Scientology: Among these advanced teachings is the story of Xenu (sometimes Xemu), introduced as an alien ruler of the "Galactic Confederacy." According to this story, 75 million years ago Xenu brought billions of people to Earth in spacecraft resembling Douglas DC-8 airliners, stacked them around volcanoes and detonated hydrogen bombs in the volcanoes. The thetans then clustered together, stuck to the bodies of the living, and continue to do this today. Do you still think Tom Cruise and John Travolta are brilliant artist?
