Session 94:Christian Science
It seems like weeks since we have been normal at church. Summer has flown by and we only have three Sundays left with the kids this church year. I don't know about you but this has been one busy summer for me. I long for the day when we can put all this stuff behind us and do nothing but worship Him continually. I hope each of you are praying about teaching next year. We have the best teachers in the youth department. I firmly believe that with all my heart. Thanks for the sacrifices you make in order for our kids to learn about God. This week we are studying Christian Science. The core truth they hold to is that the physical universe does not exist and things like death and illness are only illusions. They kind of remind me of my dad in the fact that he don't like to go to the doctor. He will go if it is necessary but it is a last resort kind of thing. These guys believe sickness is merely a matter of the mind. Well... one day they will see death is not an illusion. All will surely die unless we are raptured. What have you learned this week in studying? Can you point out something interesting that we all can benefit from in teaching this lesson? Thanks for blogging!

Hey, maybe I missed something! Didn't Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy die? Or......... maybe people that believe in a physical world were just fooled. Just had another thought.......If this electrician stuff don't work out, thinking about becoming a doctor (specialist). I'll cater to Christian Scientist. No medicine, no liability, no worries. Pray for pay. Think it'll work?
I have picked out a student who will play the part of a Christian Science believer, and when I ask him if he exist, he will reply "no this is all an illusion". Then I'm going to punch him in the face and ask the question again.....OK, maybe I will study some more.
