It has been said that what you believe about God is the most important thing about you. The writer states that whether you believe in no god, one God, or many gods will make a huge difference in how you think and feel and live. Do you believe in a personal, all-powerful, and purposeful Creator of all things who knows you and desires you to know Him? We believe the same God who so loved the world is the same God who spoke all of creation into existence. Man, what a powerful God we serve. Speak... and it happens. Note that i did not say " speak... and it happened" I firmly believe he still speaks things today to each of us. Just take a look at the days of creation. One of my favorite things of creation is what He said on day six. At the end of each day He said it was good. But, on day six He said it was VERY GOOD! It is so great to know that we are the prize possession of our heavenly father. I read a tag on a truck today that said: "He died for me so I will live for Him!" What about you? Are you and I living up to our end of the deal? We are the prize of creation and we should live our lives in such a way as to please Him.
Question: Why does the Bible begin with the assumption that God exists? Where did God come from? Who created Him? These are some that we may hear on Sunday? What do you think?

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" In the first ten words of the inerrant, infalliable, authoritative, and inspired word of God, the ideaology of atheism, polytheism, and pantheism is brought to it's knees. This God breathed scripture asserts His existence, it declares Him as one, and seperates Him from matter. I'm so exicited to begin this study once again. A new beginning in the book of beginnings. The beginning of the universe, the beginning of man, the beginning of woman, the beginning of marriage, the beginning of children, the beginning of sin, the beginning of death, the beginning of sacrifice, the beginning of murder, the beginning of cities, the beginning of nations, the beginning of languages, the beginning of the nation of Isreal. You guys get the idea? Billy, I think we were asked to evaluate the SS material. Here are my thoughts. I have been teaching from the Fuel series for about five years now. I like the material and strongly favor continuing the series. I don't think theres any better SS material for youth. I don't believe its broken, and I don't think we need to fix it. I do like change, but not for the sake of change. If I change my mind, I'll let you know.
I have heard it said that if you don't believe the first line of the Bible, you won't believe anything in it. "In the beginning GOD" says it all. What a wonderful story of love! God loved us enough to create us! He then loved us enough to give us each other! If anyone feels insignificant at times, that is enough to bring them back around!
