Session 19: Rahab and the Spies
Rahab and the Spies is the topic of discussion in SS this week. What did you learn? Could someone get us started on the right track this week? What about the cruise? Any updates this week? Happy Posting!!!
I like the part where Rahab goes to the wedding. She went to a wedding In Matt. 1:5, we find Rahab included by marriage in the Jewish nation and named as an ancestress of the Messiah! While the people of Jericho suffered death, Rahab and her family were to enjoy a marriage feast! See Rev. 19:7-9 and 17-19. Rahab was saved by faith, not by character or by religious works. This is the only way God saves people.
Ok, we're going The week of Jan. 11. I would ask that everyone began to shop for a cruise line. Please post back before Sat. with any results that interest. Then we can decide from there. I would guess we probably need to book something by the end of next week. What do ya'll think? Please note that there are some restrictions on where we can go without passports. Mrs. Paula, will you please let us know the rules.
sorry I have not posted yet, my computer is at the shop being debuged and Jerry has been out of town with the laptop. John i loved what you wrote,"Rahab was saved by faith, not by character or by religious works." What more can you say! I also loved what our study guild states, “God’s plan was accomplished through one willing person- someone many would never have chosen to work through.” Rahab was a harlot, yet God used her to help a nation.
John I am on vacation that week and I don't care where the boat goes. I am on! So, with that said, I have been looking but don't really care which line we use.
Due to circumstances beyond our control and a death in the family, my son and his family could not receive their Christmans present of the cruise so they ask to go in Jan. I've talked with them and they want to go on the Norwegian Dawn leaving Jan 10 out of Miami to Cozumel and Grand Caymen. We have no choice as to what line due to the credit we received from the cruise line when they canceled. And the only thing my son asked is that we not go to the Bahamas since he's been there several times. The only one that works for us is the 10th to 15th. I really hope that it will work for you guys as well. Please let me know and I can maybe turn you onto a good deal. We did the Family Breakdown worksheet in class and when you see it in black and white, God can use anyone in accomplishing His plan.
